I avoided them, and pretty much everything else. I knew what I was there for, and stayed in touch with it. I spent most of my time hanging out at the small arms, Armorers' Center. It was actually in a more safe location to be in.

I stayed out of trouble, and picked up some pointers there.

Yeah, trouble is best left alone. Certainly no reason to go looking for it, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, some people have to learn the hard way when it comes to that.

The hard way can be fatal in some cases. Image

Yeah, quite often, in fact.

When you go on a dog walk, and treat it like it's a walk in the city park, shaved, loaded up with cologne, and chain smoking cigarettes, that doesn't hide your from someone who's hoping to have you over for dinner at Charlie's. Not to mention carrying a varmint rifle cartridge at best. Image

Yeah, imagine if I were born 20 years earlier, I would have most likely have been there, since my parents weren't wealthy, and all of that fancy stuff that gets you out of things like that. I had a cousin who went there, but I don't know if he was drafted, or actually enlisted, when he went into the Marines, and made the rank of Master Sergeant, I do believe, and wound up doing a couple of tours in some really nasty crap.

It wouldn't surprise me if he did enlist, since from what I understand, he was kind of wild like that. He did make it back, but died in 1978 by some freak accident by falling off a balcony from a building, and landing on concrete. Although, I've heard some rumors that it might not have been an accident, but he might have been pushed. If it were an accident, it's kind of ironic, when you think about it. Or maybe, the Grim Reaper has a twisted sense of humor. Sure, you'll survive going through a couple years of heavy combat, but then when you get back from it all, you'll die from something like slipping in your bathtub, or choking on a chicken bone. I'm pretty sure that's happened, too.

When it's that time, "Time has come today!" There are ironies of people making it through harsh times, and going in odd ways. The way I feel sometimes, I've cheated death many times over. I do know he'll get me in the end. "We all owe a death, there are no exceptions."

That's true. Hopefully, it will be peacefully. I suppose that's all you can hope for.

That's nice way to say it Paul. Rich, or poor we all meet our maker.

Not to change the subject, this never stopped us before, so,........... I acquired a Kimber Micro 9 today. It's a 9mm in the size of a .380 ACP pistol. If you're not to up on handgun cartridges, a .380 ACP is a 9mm Kurz. (9mm short). The 9mm is also called a 9mm Luger, or the 9mm Parabellum. The word Parabellum is German meaning, for war. Image

I just picked up another Kimber Micro 9mm today. Stainless Steel. Image

You ever shoot the 10mm variants? I've seen that Kimber has them available.
