That's cool. I don't think any of my family played any instruments, that I'm aware of, anyway. Maybe somebody did, I'm not sure.

There was always music playing in my place when I was a kid.

That's pretty cool. 8) I always thought it was cool when you see these family bands playing together, parents encouraging their kids to play music, and even jamming with them, instead of discouraging them, and telling them not to quit their day jobs, etc.

Everyone looks at life differently.

Not to change the subject, this never stopped us before, so,........... I acquired a Kimber Micro 9 today. It's a 9mm in the size of a .380 ACP pistol. If you're not to up on handgun cartridges, a .380 ACP is a 9mm Kurz. (9mm short). The 9mm is also called a 9mm Luger, or the 9mm Parabellum. The word Parabellum is German meaning, for war. Image

Yeah, I've heard of those. Do you still have the .45, as well?

Sure enough. They are both similar with steel slide, and aluminum frame. The Micro 9 doesn't have the grip safety that the Pro Carry ll .45 does. To show perceptive, the size of the Micro 9, with my top finger on the trigger, and the three lower fingers on the front strap of the grip frame, those three fingers fill the entire front strap, and the black rubber extension on the base of the inserted magazine. And I have small hands, and fingers, but it fits me fine. Image Image

Yeah, I hope so, too. The 60's had a lot of turmoil going on, too. With politics, counterculture and the whole Vietnam thing. I remember hearing about riots in Chicago, and things like that. So, I suppose you had your violence back then, as well. There was the war, but then again, when you think about it, there's usually a war going on somewhere.

To the unaware, or seriously naive, the world is a dangerous place. It always has been, but the media feeds more instant news, weather biased, or not more so these days, than ever.

That's true, with 24/7 news, and the internet. If you want to hear about how the worst people can and always have been, talk to any war veteran, no matter what the conflict. You've been there, and I've known a few other people that were in the same place you were, and you should have heard some of the stuff my uncle, who was landing in those Pacific islands during WWII talked about.

It was starting to be a regular evening viewing on the nightly news at dinner time to see the lead story, Viet Nam. That was the infancy of the satellite feeds. Seeing at it was actually happening on the other side of the world. I saw Jack Ruby shoot Lee Harvey Oswald that morning, when he was being moved to the county lockup, in the Dallas PD garage. The first time I ever saw anyone shot, Hell killed. And of course instant replay was starting to work better back then, so the network could show it God knows how many times, right after it just happened.

Yeah, that was the first televised war, I imagine. Before that, there was news films that were most likely censored by the government to some degree to not really show the total reality of the situation. I was talking to this one guy that was over there, and he told me that his parents saw him on TV. I imagine that probably shocked them, but that could have been worse, since he did make it back.

That would've been something for someone you know to see for a brief time in a TV coverage. But then again, how would you really know it was that particular person on site? What it really him, or someone that looked like him, and wishful thinking?

I don't know, especially that kind of situation. Did you ever encounter any sort of news situations with reporters, or that sort of thing?
