That's the same one you have on the Geddy Lee? That should look pretty cool on that, I think.

Yep. It's the same Black Moto. I'm hoping it will look good too. Like I said, this is my first Olympic White with a Rosewood Board.

You couldn't have taken the one off the Geddy Lee and tried it on the white one to see for certain? Do they have different hole spacing in them? I've seen that not all Jazz Basses have the exact specs with that sort of thing. There were some variables with certain models.

I could've taken the Black Moto off the GL, the Am. Pro., and the discontinued Am. Std. bodies are the same specs, as are the PG's. The holes on the GL PG's are a match also, that's how I was able to use the Black Motto on it.
The main reason I didn't swap out the PG to the Am. Pro., I really don't like working the screws in, and out of the wood too many times. The PG screws are small, and the threads are small too. It doesn't take much to wear out the thread grooves in the wood. If I don't like the looks of it, I'll have it for a back up.

That makes sense. Those tiny screws aren't the most durable to where you'd want to constantly mess with them. The less wear and tear, the better.

And it really isn't the screws that shows the wear, it's the screw holes in the wood that gets hollowed out. Yeah, anyone can mess up the Philips Heads on the screws if the driver doesn't seat right in the screw head too.

From what the FedEx tracking is showing, the Black Moto PG should be in on Wed. the 14th.

I think you can correct that with toothpicks and wood glue, but why even get to the point where you even mess with that.

I don't like to do anything that may change the character of the wood. That's a good trick though to use. Very popular when issues pop up with screws not threading correctly when adding strap locks.

It's funny how often our gear does more traveling that we often do, when you think about it.

That's where I first heard about doing that.

it's an old carpenter's trick. My father-in-law used it a lot when working with old kitchen cabinets.
