I'm in total agreement. Both channels do well with the Ric. When I can do the GL, I'll see if I can peel some paint off of the walls. The 115 Neo has a great low thump.

I'm back to the matching up of the head to the cab. Fender/Fender. I like setups like that. The old school in me I guess. To me, there was always a good look to a matching head, cab, and or cabs. Back in my time, a half stack wasn't much as compared to the full stack was.

You can get away with running a half stack these days, since the amps are louder, and so are the cabs, for the most part. Of course, running a full stack will still be more powerful, because of the extra speakers, but I guess it all depends on what you need for the situation you're in.

A lot more running through PA's than before too. Also with some cabs running @ 4 ohms, one cab can work. Sometimes though, a full stack on stage can look impressive.

You can also add the fake cabs for that look, as well. :P

Yeah, ........ that's a total cop-out, but they do it. I maybe shouldn't have done the Bassman 800, but I'm glad I did. I guess I can say the same for the Jetglo too.

Agreed!!! I'm sitting on top of the world for myself, having both the 4003 Jetglo, and the USA GL Jazz, playing through the Bassman setup. There aren't too many 4003 colors that I don't like. The Midnight Blue looked nice, and sounded ok. I wasn't to impressed by the neck on it though. Then I played the Jetglo. I was hoping the Jetglo played, and felt better than the MID did. And it did. That was great, because as cool as the MID looked, to me the Jetglo was screaming my name. The other option I had was a 4003 Walnut. The neck on that one felt about the same as the as the MID's neck did. I can honestly say, it wasn't wishful thinking, wanting the Jetglo to feel better. It just worked out that way. Image Image

The Jetglo does look pretty slick. Did you know they also made one that was all black, including the pickguard and hardware, fairly recently? I think it was one of those special edition things they come out with, every once in a while. I've seen certain shops that will have special finishes made for that particular store to carry, like Chicago Music Exchange, for example.

I'm better off by not seeing those guys.

I can get into enough trouble with the Jetglo. Image

I imagine so. 8) That's definitely a nice looking bass. I'll bet it sounds and plays as good as it looks.

I do like the heavier low bass sounds from it, while playing it through Overdrive Channel. The Vintage Channel had a bit too much mIds, and trebles. it's not to bad having a bass thetas able to go either way on it's tones. The gain on the Overdrive does push it nice. At the lower levels I play at, I'm nowhere near peaking it.

How much drive to you like with your bass? Do you like any sort of heavy distortion, or cleaner the better?
