I see you changed the pickguard back to white. The tort wasn't working for you?

That was about it. The White is just more of my liking on the Olympic White.

Whatever works the best for you. 8) It's kind of like the opposite of your Geddy Lee, with the light versus the shade, with the exception of the fretboards being the opposite of the finishes.

I kinda' like having the two Jazzes different with the body / PG's the way they are. Black, and Black, and White with White.

If they had the Geddy Lee in white, would you have gotten that instead? I know that seems to be your favorite finish for Fenders.

You know Paul, I had to sit back in the chair for a bit to think that one out. A very good question. If it was an Olympic White with same Fretboard, and neck configuration, Yes.

I would have to say, if they had offered that option, that would look pretty cool, especially with the pearl block inlays. Maybe put gold hardware on it to really spiff it up.

I'd still like the White Pearl inlays over the Black.

Yeah, that's cool, too. I had those inlays on my '77 Jazz, but the finish on that bass was natural. I don't know what kind of body they had for it. Maybe ash, or something like that. There's probably some reference to those 70's Fenders on the web somewhere.

Some of the woods they used were back and forth for which ones were used. Not too consistent.

Yeah, that's when CBS ran the show. It's funny how much those basses have actually gone up in value, when they wen't worth as much when I got mine. I'd have to do the inflation calculator to see how much $450 in 1988 (I might have got it in 1989, though) would be in today's dollars.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have enough things going on in the present to worry about, much less try and mind $@!& something from 30 years ago. :P

Yeah, I generally try to stick with new gear, for the most part, unless it's something really unique that you can't find or get, otherwise.
