Hello, I'm new to the Fender forum, not to bass guitar!!! lol...

I restore and build basses, and I aquired a Fender Jazz Bass from a friend of Mine, he tells me its a 1990 jazz bass special, it was beat to hell and had two million coats of paint on it, i stripped it down and the original finish was the silver/black burst.....does anyone have any pics of this bass so i can reference off of it to get it as close to original as possible....TIA for any help!!! Thanks!!

I googled it and couldn't find any pictures of a silverburst jazz bass. I did find a discontinued Squier strat in silver burst though.

Looks pretty cool to me.

Two million coats of paint? Come on now, are you telling the truth?
Welcome to the forums, and we would like to see some "before" pics, and after of course.

i'll get some pics up of the work i got done so far, didnt get pics this time around of the before (no, not 2 million, but enough! lol!!) I do have a a couple of questions, on this particular model, the bridge mounting holes on the bass only have 4 holes (correct me if im wrong, standard jazz is 5 holes, badass I is 3, Badass II and III are 5 for direct replacement. What bridge was on this particular bass??? I'll post a link for pics, if it helps, the ljazz logo on the headstock on the maple neck is like a retro lettering, not your standard "jazz bass" lettering. anyone have any other pics???? thanks!!!
