Hello! I purchased a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass in an authorized dealer, 2 days ago. And I just noticed that the other PickUp is not properly aligned. I'm bothering about it and there's a buzzing sound on the lower fret in A strings. Please advise if anyone experien[img][img][/img][/img]ced on the alignment issue of the pickup. Thank you.

Welcome, Dianne.

Your pic doesn't display for me.
Hard to know what you're talking about without a pic.

If you have an account at a photo-hosting site that allows remote linking you could insert a pic here.
Many of us once used Photobucket but we're all pretty much moving on to other sites since they started to curtail the freedom we once enjoyed.
Some have argued that's their right but whatever, the point is moot.
I'm using Flickr now.
Others are using other sites.

We will need a pic in order to help you.
This Fender forum does not have pic hosting.

OK! I just checked and read that prinzess_dianne26 came back on Sunday. A good sign, but posted no photos. A bad sign.

First of all your pickup cavities are routed into the wood body by CNC machines and are most likely (99.9%) not out of alignment. If you are talking about pickup height then that is an entirely different situation.

As far as any string & fret buzz along with pickup height is concerned, this is a simple setup issue that is easy to fix if you have the knowledge. It sounds like to me this is something you do not as of yet possess. So take your bass to a competent luthier or technician. He or she will take it from there and fix you right up.

I "suppose" if a neck pocket wasn't cut very tight and the neck wasn't perfectly perpendicular to the bridge the strings might get far enough to one side it might seem like the poles are out of alignment.

I think a person would probably notice something like that if it was that bad and correct it.

That's about all I can think of.
