I'm attempting to sell a Jazz Bass I bought a year or two back, and the seller identified it having been produced in the '60s. I'm including an Imgur upload, and I will also note that I undid the neck from the body and did not see any notable stamping beside a faint green on the body where the neck touches, but that's about it. I have no clue if any of y'all could help out to help identify, but it would be thoroughly appreciated!

If there's anymore information or pictures I can provide that you all need, I'm more than happy to oblige.

Doubtful that it's anything built by Fender in the years 1966 through 1969 (inclusive). All of those Jazz Basses featured bound necks with block position indicators on the fretboard (both rosewood and maple). And the truss-rod access hole is mis-located too -- it rightfully belongs at the heel end of the neck.

The worn spots on the body look artificial and suggest the finish is polyester, not nitro-cellulose lacquer. As well, that's a modern tortoise-shell pickguard -- vintage examples are significantly lighter, with more red pigment. Frankly, I think the instrument is Mexican in origin and a relatively recent specimen.

I think it is possibly a Squier with Fender 70's headstock decal applied. The tuners are Gotoh brand and the control knobs as well. Asian made.
