Yeah, that and cancer. I've noticed that's been a big one. Sometimes, heart failure. Jack Bruce had liver disease, from what I've read. You can tell looking back at some of his last performances, that he looked like that might have been the case. He looked like he might have had that issue. He still played well until the end, though.

David Crosby, of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young had a liver transplant. A lot of bad ingredients in the elicit drugs, from whenever filter through the liver.

Probably a ton of coke, I'm sure. That, and he drank like a fish, and used coke to sober up. You know my oldest sister's ex-boyfriend from when I was a kid, and after her first husband, used to do that with his buddies. It would shock me if that guy is still alive. He's probably around your age, maybe even older. I know my sister was born in 1954, and I think he might have been older, I don't remember.

That's true. Although, some people did better than others from that era, and managed to hold out, despite doing the same stuff, more or less. I guess it all depends on many things. Not everyone is the same, and some of them didn't even make it out of the 60's.

I'm serious when I say I didn't think I'd make it past 20 years old. I guess the 60's were great, but the 60's I guess were hard to live through for some as well. "Good Times, Bad Times".

Well, considering you were in a war, I would say that was a strong possibility that you might not have. Luckily, you did.

Still, probably better than being shot at, I imagine.

That made it to the top of my list for least things, I wanted to have happen. There was a lot of that going around.

Yeah, I imagine so.

Anyway, you still liking the Player Jazz, or have you seen anything else that might be interesting?

No, the Player Jazz is playing fine, and it really sounds great through the HD75. It's an extremely comfortable bass to play.

It does seem like it might be. If I ever can afford one, I'd definitely would want to pick one up, especially with the maple fretboard on it.

I probably said this a few times, but this Player is just like playing an Am. Std. True, it doesn't have the rolled edge fretboard, but the frets are so well dressed on it. The QC on this MIM Player Jazz is so great! It's made me a believer to deffinately check out the MIM basses, even if I did have the funds to acquire a MIA. The Gator TSA hardshell case protects it as well as a comparable hardshell Fender supplied case. So I'm $890. into the Player Jazz, and Gator case, as compared to $1,550. for an Am. Pro. The Buttercream finish isn't available in the Am. Pro. either. Booooo! I'm liking the Buttercream, as much as Olympic White these days too.
My Buttercream Jazz is my keeper Jazz, and the way I'm wowed with the HD75, that's my keeper amp as well. A WIN, WIN!!! Image

I'm sorry I jumped in so much in length on the last post, but its not too often I acquire both a bass, and an amp I'm this up on at the same time. That photo of the Hartke turned out ok.Image
