Yeah, that can be problematic, unless you have lighting equipment, and even then it can be a pain.

No, I don't have lights, etc. I looked at those as another expense, and more stuff in the house. I'll see how Wed. morning does for light. No hurry on it anyway.

Yeah, unless you take photos on a professional level, or need professional type photos there really isn't much point for those anyhow, just for that sort of thing.

My Nikon has a decent flash on it, and I do have an ok attachable strobe for it as well.

That's what you use for your gear pics?

Yeah, that's about it. It's all I use. The Nikon D750 I use, is a Digital SLR, FX format, not DX format body. Meaning the processor is larger, quicker, and takes in the entire full image with out the system cropping off any of the outer parts of the image as well. I don't lose any of an image I focus in on. It helps a bit for letting a bit more light in with a faster lens.

The FX body can use a DX attachable lens, but the FX body has to be set for using the DX lens. This cuts out the full entire image that an FX lens will take in.

It does seem to do a nice job, especially for your purposes. 8) I just use my iPhone whenever I take a gear pic, and hope for the best. That way, I can just upload it Instagram, or whatever. Of course for here, I have to download it to my PC, and upload it again to Imgur, because this site has to be annoying like that. :P

I just finished setting up the Player Jazz pics in imgur. I uploaded, downloaded, what ever the Hell I do with the images on the SD Card, from the Nikon so they're in the computer for me to edit, and then into imgur.

Upload, download, who gives a damn! I'm listening to Blues Cheer, Summertime Blues. I started to listen to Black Sabbath Vol. 4, but it didn't have that "LOUDER THAN GOD" sound I wanted to hear!!!

You know you can never listen to Blue Cheer's "Summertime Blues" loud enough. :P That song requires extreme volume levels to be played, that's for sure. 8)

Some songs are just fitting to be loud. On the back of the Mountain "Climbing" album, Felix had a note saying, "This album was recorded loud, to be played louder!" That's one reason Felix was damn near deaf when he was slain! Cream didn't help any either.

The Who, Iron Butterfly, Spirit, and Humble Pie are more that appreciate that extra volume push to listen too.

Don't forget Led Zeppelin, too. You know, the 25th was the 39th anniversary that John Bonham died. I posted a video on the "What Are You Watching?" thread with actual film footage of them playing live on January 9th, 1970, which was also Jimmy Page's birthday. It's a full concert film, but I don't know where it comes from, since it's never been (that I know of) on DVD, or originally VHS from back in the day. I know there's "The Song Remains The Same" and "How The West Was Won" for official releases, but I do know there's also concerts from 1975 and 1978 that were filmed, but I think just floating around as bootlegs.

The funny thing about all of those bands mentioned, it reminds me of my dad just calling it "narcotic music." :P I suppose it was, wasn't it? :P

ImageImageImage Yeah,....... It was somewhat. But I sure loved it.

At times I have to admit, I get a bit numb to players passing. I mean, as time goes on everyone gets older, and it's inevitable. I hate to say it, but I'm surprised Jack was the first of Cream to pass on. Ginger was the oldest, and always appeared to have the worse health issues. I guess Jack just concealed his health issues better.

They all didn't exactly take the best care of themselves, unfortunately. I guess sometimes that eventually catches up to you.

The drugs that many took from back then turned out to be the cause of eventual demise.

Yeah, especially the harder stuff. It's strange how a lot of them started to go after the 50 year mark, more or less, from when they got famous.

A lot of liver damage to many of them.
