Yeah, they also seem to be quite well built, since you can still find quite a few on the used market. Usually, they aren't that expensive, either, when you compare them to other vintage models, but those are usually tubed.

One Hell of an amp.

You've never thought of picking one up for old time's sake?

No, I didn't want to take the chance of it needing any shop maintenance. I played through one on stage once, and that was more than ok with me.

I guess that is the one main thing about that. These amps are around 50 years old, give or take a few years, depending when they were built.

It would be cool to find one of those almost never used, in pristine shape. Plus have the bucks to acquire it. DREAM ON!!! Image

I wonder if there are any like that? I've seen quite a few in really nice condition, though.

It would be nice to find one like that, and have the money as well, at the same time.

You never know with that sort of thing, although the money thing is always a factor, either way.

That's my biggest obstacle that I'd have to deal with now. Luckily though, my Hartke stuff is just what I like, and want. Dreams are nice, but not too much if any, of reality.

That's true. I suppose you can get enough good sounds out of your Hartke that if you never could find a Kustom amp like that, and afford it, it doesn't matter.

Yep! That's about the way I feel about the Buttercream Player Jazz, as compared to an American made Fender Jazz. You know, it doesn't bother me in the least, that with all the MIA Fenders I previous had, I have a real kicking MIM Jazz. I can state the same as the amps as well. The Hartke is one top little Monster. Image

That's the thing, a good player, is a good player. 8) The way you even describe the Player Series, I wouldn't even have to bother with the more expensive models, with most of them being made in the same place, anyway. It's also nice to get an amp like that, as well.

The Player Series is a fine way around the over priced Am. Pro. Series. I still loved the Am. Std. Series. The Player Series is the closest to it.

I take it you aren't too keen on the American Pro Series, then?

No, after I got totally burned on the Fretless Jazz's messed up fretboard, that was enough. That was some serious Buckaroos wasted on that one. I had Am. Std.'s with beautiful Fretless Rosewood boards on them.
