You do? You get them from old amps you had?

No,........ They were from Fender Bass Cases, when I was on the road. If we had to replace a case, I snagged the badge, before we dumped it in the dumpster, and traded the new badge for the old one, attached on the new case. I had the new badge, and the old one fit right in on the new case well enough for looks. A little souvenir I kept from the Road.

On the Fender cases that have a badge attached, it's the same as the Bassman heads, and Bassman cabs. YEP, YEP! Right On!Image

You know, now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing those kind of cases somewhere like that. That's pretty cool that you still have them. You got any other stuff like that around from those days?

Not too much. Just a few power cords, and that's about it. Other than the Fender metal Amp Badges.

I wonder if those badges are worth anything?

Probably just what Fender wants to sell them for. I just liked them, and snagged them. As far as I know they aren't collectors items. I saw a price for them a year, or two ago. I forget how much they went for. A bunch of the guys at the Rumble Club at TB don't like having a Rumble Amp Badge on their Rumble Cabs. So they're changing them out.

They want their amps to look more old school?

That, or look like the higher priced Bassman's. If I had a Rumble Cab, I'd leave the Rumble Badge on it. It's part of the Rumble distinction.

I'd do the same. The 3rd generation Rumble amps look like old school Fender amps, anyhow. The 2nd generation, which I have, isn't so much, with the metal grill, and the block logo. Although, I think the block logo was around in the 50's, so maybe that's not the case with that. It's decent gear, so I don't know what their issue is. Most people in an audience wouldn't even have a clue, anyway, unless they're musicians, themselves.

Most of the time, the audience doesn't know, or care one way, or the other what your playing to play, as long as it sounds ok.

I know I've been to some shows where I just forgot to check out the amps, and sat back to enjoy the show.

Yeah, that's true, although, I do have a tendency to check out the bass rig. :P

I maybe I did, and didn't even realize I was doing it. Old habits again! Image
