It's going tomorrow. That will cover the Viola, and the case.

I really was a lot more interested in the Viola, than the Jack C.

Did you get to play on the Jack Casady bass as well?

No, they didn't have the Cassidy in. I really wasn't that up for it in the first place. I like the smaller size of the Viola, like the 1969 EKO I had.

Well, the one thing I do remember about the Jack Casady bass, was it even though it was semi hollow body, it felt pretty heavy to me, so there is that. The violin basses are featherweight.

I don't need a heavy bass, mainly since I stand when I play. I feel better, and play better standing. The J. Cassidy does look great however. The Epi I have weighs in at 7.6 pounds.

That's not too bad at all. I think that's even lighter than a Jazz Bass, isn't it?

Pretty much lighter than a Jazz. I think the average weight for a Jazz is about 8 - 8.5 pounds.

The Player Jazz really is a slick damn bass.

Other than the rolled edges on the sides of the neck, I forget I'm not playing an Am Std. Jazz. The frets are dressed fine on my Player.
The Epi is dressed fine as well. I forgot that Epi's are inspected, and set up in this country before they are sold.

Yeah, a decent fret job is half the battle there. Epiphone probably has a good quality control going on, then. 8)

From what I can see on the current Epi stuff, it looks really good. And I mean not just the basses. The Les Paul's look as good as a Gibson. My EB-3 is a fine example of as good, or better than the SG Std.'s. Like I said before, the Epi version of the Gibson EB-3L is fantastic.

Yeah, it does look like they're putting out some good stuff.
