Yeah,...... they do fill the major arenas, and halls. The AC Jazz is a nice player for me anyway. I just wish it was a bit more reasonable in price than it is. The USA GL Jazz, isn't that much better for sticker shock price tag either. I chose between the two.

Have you messed with any of the new "vintage" type models, like the American Original 70's Jazz Bass? https://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric- ... 90142.html It costs over $2000, though.

No, between the two I have now, they're more than enough. I don't even consider looking at other basses. I do like the AC Jazz as is too.

The AC is also a lot less expensive, too. I'm just curious to see if they are even worth it, or not.

The going price difference, the USA GL Jazz is $200. less than the AC Jazz. I like the AC Jazz with its rounded board edges, the Sherwood Green Metallic body, and matching head. The CS 60's pups on the AC Jazz sound fine as well. I do like Maple boards, but usually the Rosewood pretty nice.

Interesting that it still has a rosewood board, since they've replaced that with the other basses. Although, I did see the American Professional Jazz had a rosewood board option.

It seems to be the Fender upper end basses either have Rosewood since they're so expensive, they just slip the extra cost of the Rosewood in on it, or there is the option of the fretboards wood. Maple usually Maple is my choice, but the Rosewood does setoff the Pearloid blocks in the fretboard rather well. Image

Then again, I like the looks of the Maple board with the Pearloid blocks, on the board of the USA GL Jazz as well.

If Trump imposes his tarrifs I can't help but wonder how that will effect the prices of MIM Fenders.

I don't know. I just stay out of speculations on issues like this. At times postings on some issues, may be construed as political as well.

True. I try to stay out of political discussions. It just seemed relevant in this case.

You know, I was wondering about that with Mexico. I thought that didn't go through, though? I'll have to check with the news about that, again.
