Other than the Hofner when it arrives, this is the setup. I don't need anymore, it works. A Rumble 100 is a single 12" Combo @ 100 watts, with no external cab hookup. So I figure the Markbass's 300 watts @ 8 ohms is doing fine.

That's true, you get an extra 200 watts, there.

Yep, and the ability to power an external cab, for that silly 500 watts.

That's true, and you can pretty much hook up any 8 ohm cab you want to it, as well.

That Markbass NY121 cab was a tight little guy. It is rated at 400 watts RMS, and has a horn with a full attenuator.

For the size, that's some serious specs for that cab. A lot of 12" speakers are typically 200 - 250 watts, from what I've seen, at least for bass and/or PA use.

That little cab is for real. 12's Are getting back to the upper end of the hill, somewhat.

Yeah, maybe they'll start putting out more options with those again. Maybe even Fender might do a 2 x 12" cab, as well. They did put out an 800 watt Rumble head, after all.

It would be cool for the 2X12 cab. But so far I wouldn't bet my life them putting out one. Plus, I'm doing ok with the Image A nice compact 1X12 Combo that has the power. This old man can pick it up with one hand, and it fits almost anywhere in the car. I brought the NY121 cab home on the passenger seat. And that's about the same size as the Combo is.

You can't beat that. The funny thing is that it's called "NY," which it would work rather well for, especially the portability factor. It's not always easy to haul gear around there.

I dealt with that at the MSG show. NYC was a logistical nightmare, that I'm glad I got through, but then again, I will never forget either.

Well, the main thing is parking, which isn't always easy. Especially with loading in and out with gear.

That wasn't really an issue with an 18 wheeler going to a loading dock. It was getting the 18 wheeler to the building. I can remember having all of the band members showing up in their own cars, and me driving a 22' Ryder Rental with a lift gate to the job. The band guys called it a gig, the Roadies called it a job.

Well yeah, it was a job for you. Still, I'll bet as hard as it can get, there's a lot worse jobs out there.
