Either the blue or the red look really good. I kinda' like the blue over the red. They didn't mention the scale, that i saw anyway. If you like the Ibanez necks, the price on them is WOW! With the Jazz pups the sounds should be right on as well. Are you going for one? It does read that they ship to U.S., and everything is shown in USD, as is with no extra charges.

I missed this post, before. They are long scale, as far as I know. It's probably unlikely that I'll be able to get any at this point, but I did find it interesting that they even had this, especially since they don't seem to be regularly available in the US, or even listed on their US site.

They do seem to be pretty rare.

Well, there used to be Fender Japan, which had a whole slew of stuff that they didn't have here, for one example.

Yep. I forgot about that Paul. There was almost an entire Fender bass culture manufactured in Japan.

Yeah, they have all kind of stuff, or did, since I'm not sure what's up with that these days.

The last thing I heard, Fender shut down the Japanese manufacturing facility totally. (I think ?)

I'm not sure what was the story with that. I've noticed they have put on some new models lately, though.

I'm at a total loss of MIJ Fenders then.

There's a couple that were listed on the site fairly recently. I guess they are still around, but I haven't looked at them in a while.

For me, there's enough MIM, and MIA around to keep my head spinning. I finally had a chance to run the AC Jazz through the Markbass Mini Stack. Very impressive. The Markbass had the room shaking more than the SVT-212AV, or the SVT-410HLF did. The 2X12 set is performing fine. I'm thinking the rear ports of the Combo, and Cab have something to do with that. I also did a bit more fine tuning on the Combo's settings. There are just the right settings on the Combo's head to get some fine sounds, with out going overboard.

Sounds good. 8) The funny thing is that it's actually smaller cabs, too.

I do believe it's somewhat like I may have mentioned before about the smaller Markbass combos, and cabs. They have less air volume I'm them, and are rear ported. This may push the air out more efficiently than a larger volume cab. With the rear porting, it can be a larger port, and may not necessitate enlarging the dimensions of the cabs.
For me anyway, the AC Jazz is a great bass to run through the Mini Stack. The 500 watts out of the 212 drivers do work great. I'm biased to 12's anyway. 12's Do seem to getting more attention now, than they've had over the years.

Well, they do fill a certainly area to where they are bigger than 10"s, and smaller than 15"s, so maybe they have characteristics of both, or maybe something else, entirely. I think I'd rather have 2 x 12"s, then 2 x 10"s.
