Hi, I´m new to fender basses and I´ve tried to google this but with no luck.

I bought a new mexican jazz bass 3 months ago, and since then all mexican jazz and precision basses has dropped around 25% in price on 3 months, why?

Is this the same every year? Wait a few months and get a cheaper bass?

Usually, they jack the prices more than anything. Sometimes, they do have rebate sales, though.

Looks like most big dealers have similar prices, and that they all made the same price drop. But maby it just was a sudden raise in prices and todays prices is the "usual" price.

No, not at all. The Fender Standard Jazz bass has been the very same $600 for a few years now. You might be able to wrangle a lower price at your music store, but Fender's official advertised price is $599.99 USD http://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric-basses/jazz-bass/standard-jazz-bass/0146202580.html

It is more likely to find a price break on a product being phased out, such as the recent $200 off on American Standards.
