...and it's been long overdue.

I'm primarily a guitarist but have always been fascinated by the bass (played bass for high school drum line and jazz band).

What has kept me from ever owning one myself is not knowing which bass was right for me, and I only wanted only one (I've got plenty of guitars and I'm sure the Mrs. will notice multiples of these longer-scaled brethren). I first got a MIM jazz, but the fretboard edges were too rough for me. Then I got a music man sub bass, but it was too heavy for me. Not long after this, Craigslist came to the rescue and my eyes fell in love with the gorgeous metallic jade pearl finish on my eventual American Standard Jazz. The tones, the feel, the punch, the mellow--all at my facility because of the beauty that is the Jazz Bass. Pics will be up shortly!

EDIT: Here are a few pics!
