Did you ever try out that black light on your bass to see if it did anything? Remember we were talking about that?

I haven't forgotten. I can't quite get to it. It's way up in the spare bedroom closet, and the only way I can get to it, is to use my right arm. I'm not healed up that well on my right side to do any stretching yet.

Oh, OK. How are you doing with all that lately? Any better?

Doing better. Sometimes though, I go a little too far, and feel it.

It feels strange to heal up from an invasive procedure. I'm not used to this, I never got shot, stabbed, or anything like that. I get funny twinges, and annoying pains. But it's healing up.

I sold the Spl. Edition to get back the Am. Std. I thought things out between the Am. Std., and the Spl. Edition. The Am. Std. is a better player overall. I got it back while I still could.

OK, that explains the sunburst Jazz in your pic, then. :P I would hope it would be a better player, since it costs a lot more. At least you get your money's worth between the basses, if that's the case.

I try not to enter into the monetary part of it, because some people think, I may want the Am. Std. because it's a pricier bass. True, it does cost more, but it's a decent Jazz, and it would take a lot for me to venture into the world of the Am. Professional Series.

I know what you mean. I'm sure the rosewood board versions of those are now an extra $25 higher, too. I did notice they didn't change the price with the Squier versions, yet. Maybe they won't, although the price of those has gone up the last few years, anyway. My Squier Tele costs an extra $100 from what I paid for it a few years ago. I suppose the advantage of that is I probably could sell mine for more money than I could with it's original price, since a new one costs more, and mine is in excellent if not mint condition. I'm not planing on doing so, though. Even though I don't play it a lot, it's good to have that around if I do play guitar.

The Rosewood on the Am. Pro. Series is $50.00 higher. The Rosewood MIM are up $25.00.

You'd think the MIM would be higher with all of the wall talk and everything going on down there. :P I guess time will tell with that.

I'm thinking those are two separate issues. Two different federal departments working here. The wall is having issues for funding also.

I was thinking I'd opt for a Maple board again, but then figured a Fretboard material isn't all that important for what materials it's made from. I do like the grain in both Rosewoods I have.

I wonder if they're going look into other alternative materials if rosewood is an issue to use now?
