That interesting. I suppose that was a Geddy spec.

It could be. It somewhat makes the back of the neck more of a Rickenbacker neck. The Flatter crown that is. I think someone wanted the Fender Jazz, but kinda' liked the Rickenbacker neck. I wonder.

Funny you should mention that, since Geddy Lee also played a Rickenbacker bass as part of his main repertoire. He even had one of those double neck jobs.

I would have to believe GL liking the Ric neck shape had everything to do with the USAGL neck design.

That would make sense. If you or I were that famous to have Fender make you a bass, then I'm sure you could have what ever the hell you wanted on it, maybe even a built in bottle opener for your beer. :P

At one time, the bottle opener for the beer would've been the optimum addition.

Yeah, it certainly beats the hell out of trying to use the hinge area of a car door. :P

I thought you were more of the ring tab generation.

I remember the pull tabs. My brother made a necklace with them. :P

That was a big deal when the pull tabs came out.

Yeah, before that you had to use a church key. I'm sure you remember the P-38 model. :P

Those were a pretty decent little design, the way they they folded. But the one edge would cut a hole in your pocket fast.

Do you still have the one you had, or did you have to turn it back in because of government property or something like that?

You'd think there would be some sort of pouch or something to keep it in to prevent that from happening.

I kept one in an ammo pouch on my on my belt, and the other in my rifle cleaning kit. I lost them somewhere. They were pretty small anyway.

I suppose you can get those at a military surplus store, or something like that. I don't think they still issue them, though. Everything else had changed over the years with that stuff.
