They seem pretty close to each other, so I can see why you did that.

They both have a sound that's very similar, if not the same. My old banged up ears aren't that noticeable to any differences between the V-Mod pups on the Am. Pro., and the CS60's on the Am. Std. The Nylons, and the Rumble are a good constant for both.

Yep. They have the same Bridges, both string through the body, the Am. Pro. does have a Bone Nut, and the Am. Std. has a Synthetic Nut. Fluted-shaft tuning machines, on the Am. Pro., if that's going to matter.

I'm guessing like I mentioned before, the California law dealing with parts manufacturing origin, and saying made in the USA, made the Am. Pro. series the solution for that mess. Other than that, I still consider the Am. Std. an instrument to do the job.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that law. You know, another reason they didn't say made in the USA is possible because it isn't 100% made here. There are things like components or parts that could be made even in Mexico. It wouldn't surprise me at all. That's why I think the whole made in the USA thing doesn't really hold a lot of water these days. Most if not all of your electronics are usually made in various Asian countries, usually China or Indonesia. Before that was Japan and Korea. Now there's also Vietnam, who decided to rather make some money than worry about Communist BS, although technically they are still a Communist government. Then again, so is China. I guess all of that Cold War stuff doesn't really amount to much of anything these days, considering there are a lot worse problems going on.

About the only one out there, that's really out there, North Korea. I can see that place glowing in the dark for a few thousand years. One USN Trident Sub is capable of doing that job.
They never figured out, play nice with the other kids, somewhat. The USN surface battle groups look, and are impressive, but the real danger is hidden under the surface. 24 Trident missiles, with 12 independent warheads, per each missile. 288 Little bundles of joy to spread around.

The thing that boggles my mind is that there are Americans that go to North Korea, like that guy who died recently, that was in a coma. They probably beat the crap out of him and gave him brain damage. Why would you risk yourself going to somewhere like that, knowing what would most likely happen?!?

Paul, excuse me for saying it, but you give some people more credit for common sense, then God gave rock. Some people live with stars in their eyes.

Yeah, you'd think common sense would be called differently, since it often seems rare. :P

Pick guard looks pretty good on that bass. 8)

Rare sense.

I like the Tort look on it too.

It is nice to be playing the Am. Std. Jazz, over the Standard. It's just a smoother playing Jazz, and it tunes better as well.
