Hey Wood Man, upload your pic, or pics to a photo site like, Imgur, or Photo Bucket. Find the image link of the pic you want to show. Copy that link. Then just paste that link where you want to show your pic. That's about it.

Congratulations on your Elite Jazz!

Hint: If your camera has a ring tone that is why your photos suck.

Mr Nylon, Linnin and Paulf. Thanks for the comments. Before this I had only ever played single PU Pre Type basses. so first of all having that extra tonal option was brilliant. AND THEN....I switched to active. WOW just Blew me away, and nearly my speakers too. :o :o :o I LOVE IT !...Just a pity it's going back to Fender tomorrow :(

Hi Linnin and Mr Nylon.

ok, I'm being REALLY fussy here but, Two Problems. firstly ( and this is fixable ) the strap button on the bottom of the bass is really tight to get the lock onto. but fender UK have offered to send some out ( Thanks Kris Denhart )
Secondly, the headstock decal which I think should be one shade of silver has slightly darker bits on the letters r, J and a,s,s. as though they have been shaded in with a pencil. Its gone back to Rimmers Music to be returned to Fender for them to see - it goes tomorrow. Realistically, I don't think they will be able to fix it without re-doing the Headstock. So Hopefully The Magnanimous and Wise people at Fender UK ( yes I am kissing $@! :D ) will swap the bass for me.. Only had it Two days and missing it already.the PB neck feels really fat and slow now
We pay out our Hard Earned for this stuff so we want it right don't we? I know I do !

I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Get it squared up with Fender, so you like it. It's your bass, not anyone else's. Yep, the hard earned, Don't Come Easy.

I don't blame you. It's not like it's some cheap instrument. If you're not 100%, then you should have it taken care of, especially if you can.

Ok so I've got an update on the Jazz. Fender have offered me £150 off the cost of the bass to accept the fault in the lettering, but are prepared to replace the strap buttons. OR I can have a replacement but I will have to wait 8 Weeks....so...I am gonna wait. As much as the discount seems ok to me. I would never be completely happy with the bass as it is. That would be something that would irritate me more and more as time goes on. One the bright side tho', only got 7 and a half weeks to wait now! hoping it will arrive sooner.

Thank you. Perhaps a collector, 30-50 years from now, will appreciate your effort. As one of those collector guys, I have to admit, that based on what you have reported, I would have taken the $150 and just smiled.

It is much easier for me to ask "why did this happen" to vintage basses, than it is to actually demand the same of a modern bass. Yes, that means I am a hypocrite. I appreciate you want it right, and I applaud you for demanding it.

Hi affprod. thanks for your reply. I made that choice because, as a hobbyist and not playing in a band for ten years, deciding to spend that kind of cash on one instrument, I just thought - I'll never buy another one of these so I want it right. Probably would have done the same even if it was a mex. again I may only buy one. I do understand that with vintage instruments you accept that they are going to be used and "Character -Full" and that can also be part of their appeal ( Joe Bonamassa is a prime example ).

After saying all of that. While I was in a rehearsal studio trying out the bass ( on my own ) I was approached by two guys who were looking for a bass player....funny how things turn out. I had to tell the Mrs. I was now part of a Blues Band......Didn't see that coming, but three weeks in, I'm loving every minute of it. :D ( and who knows there may be a mex Jazz in my future......shhhh...)

Cheers,

Woodman
