I have a problem because I have large hands/fingers where it can be difficult playing certain chords on the guitar, especially barre chords, or chords that you need four fingers for. I wind up muting notes I shouldn't, etc. I guess my hands were better designed for playing bass. :P I know how to play guitar and know what a lot of chords are, but sometimes it's difficult to do that cleanly. I've been thinking a wide neck would be ideal for that situation, because I'd have more room. I still would prefer to play bass, though.

I was never good with chords on a 6 stringer. Bass is what I play the best. I have short fingers, but they're pretty wide.

I started guitar the same time as bass, because one of my sisters gave me a nylon string acoustic, but I never seriously dedicated myself to it, but I guess got better with it as I went along, because I continued to mess around with it. Especially, when I started recording song ideas on a 4-track. I've also messed around with a mandolin, too. I even wrote and recorded a song idea with one, with my old fretless bass and a Tele copy I use to have. I had the 4 track tape of it that I brought with me when I left Florida, but it's disappeared. I don't know what happened to it.

Interesting how players evolve to playing the bass.

I know. I got into it because a friend of mine played guitar, so it was a logical thing to do so we could form a band. I had no musical inclination before that, but I was artistic, or creative. I had wanted to become a cartoonist or a writer (I use to mess around with both as a kid, up until I got into music,) but I found this was the best artistic medium for me. Plus, we were heavily into Led Zeppelin, so there you go. :P

It sounds amazing. A lot of full rich bottom to it. The Geddy Lee really performs well through the SVT-212AV. If I didn't like the Am. Std. Jazz I have, as much as I do, I'd go with just the Geddy Lee Jazz. The more volume I pushed through it, the 2X12 cab sounded better.

I liked it through the 4X10 cab, but it's a Dickie Peterson Beast through the 2X12 cab.

Yeah, he originally used 4x12" cabs with the Marshalls. Although, at the end he had an Ampeg 8x10" fridge. I don't know what he used in between the time periods, do you?
