I'll bet he might have something to do with that, since it is his signature bass.

My respect to Geddy Lee, he in my opinion, is the finest present day bass player Fender has as a signature player. The man knows his basses. Image

Yeah, you should actually see his collection of them. I was watching some sort of Rush documentary, and he showed some of that off in it at his place.

I would assume he has some nice basses. I like his music, his playing, just not his voice. And I guess if I am going to have a Fender Signature Bass, the USA GL Jazz is the one I prefer.

I can see why you'd have issues with his voice, especially the very early stuff, where he's really singing high. It doesn't bother me, but then again there are singers and things like that which are popular among these parts that I can't stand, but I keep my mouth shut, so I don't have to deal with any forum drama. :P You know, to each their own. There's plenty of music out there for someone to enjoy, instead of tearing down things you don't.

I made a change on the USA GL's PG. Back to the Black Moto. ImageImage

That's a cool combination. 8) I imagine you have to be pretty careful with the screws on it, when you change those out, don't you? I know they're small enough to where they could get stripped pretty easily.

Yep. I'm pretty sure I've done the last PG change out on this GL. The PG screws feel ok, but there is one that I don't want to unscrew, and screw in again. It's seated firm, and tight that's good enough for me. Image

This is what I believe to be my ultimate Amp. I played the GL for just over an hour, and half. Amazing sounds. Image

Incredible is what it was. My first true bone crushing amp. Over the years, I've had some decent amps, but not like this one. Felix would have truly liked this one.I can only imagine what his EB1 would've sounded like through it.
But anyway, the USA GL surely kicks.

THE 4003 RIC is NEXT!!! Image

Well, there's one way to find out what (well probably not his) an EB1 would sound like through it, you'd just have to find one and have some $$$. :P You know, those are one of my bucket list, if by some luck I get a lot of money basses. 8)

Here's one: https://reverb.com/item/5029211-1957-gibson-eb-1-bass It's a 1957, and it's only $10,595 + $95 shipping! I'll write them a check. :P

His might have been a reissue that came out in the late 60's, since it didn't have the banjo style tuners on it, unless that was a mod that done. From what I've read, they made those from 1953 to 1958, then 1968 to 1970, and then in 1999. I suspect the ones from the late 60's would be less expensive, but if I could, I'd want to get a 50's model. That's of course, if I won the lotto, or something. :P
