You know, they have a shower curtain and a clock with that design on it. That might also make a pretty cool tattoo. I was actually trying to find a sticker with the sun with sunglasses on it, but I couldn't find one I liked, but then I saw that. If they made a sticker of that, it might work. Of course, I'd need the orange bass, first. :P

That Capri Orange kinda' grows on ya'. Not my cup of tea though. If I didn't do the Olympic White, the Seafoam Green, Sweetwater Special Edition is cool looking. I like that a lot better than the Sonic Blue, or the Torino Red.

The funny thing about the orange is it isn't originally a color I'd consider as a choice for an instrument, but at the same time, that's the reason it has started to appeal to me. How many people you know who even have an orange instrument, much less the availability of that color. In a way, it kind of is like stepping out of the box a bit.

It's definitely a different color, but I know what you mean about the longer it's there, the Capri Orange is pretty cool. There are more Fender colors I would't choose, other than the Capri Orange. I don't think I'd like the color on a bigger size, or shipped body. It seems to be more of a better fit on a Mustang. I better stop talking about it. Just kidding, I really like the Olympic White color on mine.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that finish would work on a Precision bass. It's sort of a racing color, and the Mustang has always had that race car vibe going with it, it seems.

Yes, they have. I had one Mustang Pawn Shop, Olympic White with a blue racing stripe on it. I liked the Olympic White, just not the blue racing stripe. Even though that one had a Humbucking on it, I like the PJ on the present Mustangs. Like I said before, i think the Capri Orange does look good on a Mustang style body.

Which pickups do you like better, the humbucker, or the P and J configuration? The sparkly metallic finishes would also look cool with the Mustang body, I think. I think they might have had a Squier model like that in metallic silver, with a humbucker. It was a signature model for one of those pop punk bands from the late 90's or 2000's. I'm not sure if they made other Mustangs like that. Maybe some custom jobs.

I do like Humbucking, but the Vintage style pups on the PJ's harmonize well together.

They are a pretty effective combination, I think.

I had a couple of the Mustang PJ's now, but I'm really impressed a lot by the one I have now. I guess it sounds good through the Ampeg. The others I had may have sounded as good, I don't know. I'm really getting into playing this one though.

You know, running it through the Ampeg, which you didn't have before, probably is a factor with the sound on this one. That does happen.

The Ampeg is one of the best pieces of gear as amps go, I've done for a while.

It does sound like you have a good setup there. 8)

I know I sound like a broken record about this tube head with the 12" Eminence, but for me the sound is as close as I'll find to the 60's 12's, with JBL's, Jensen's, SRO Electro Voice, or Altec Lansing's.

I think about the only speakers they still make for instrument amps are Jensens, these days. There still is JBL and EV, but that's usually PA gear.

Yeah, I think you're right. I used Jensen Concert Vibranto Series 12's, because they were more that I could afford at that time. The magnets on them were gigantic.
