60's And 70's rock didn't need or use a damper. We didn't want to dampen the sound. We were trying to get more power sounds back then. That's probably why my EB0 sounded do good, and loud also going through the Acoustic 360/361. The lead player was playing an SG Custom I believe, through an Acoustic 260 lead amp. Absolutely crushing stage sounds. My EB0 never sounded so GREAT!

It was a good way to fill in sound when the band was only 3-4 players in it.

Some of the players really knew how, and when to use feedback. I always thought Hendrix, and Nugent were the best of the bunch.
