Where do you usually buy them from? I don't think they carry them at AMS. They have the D'Addario flats, though.

I get my ETB92 Nylons from either my local SA, or online GC.

Yeah, those two usually have a wider bass selection, it seems.

I'm fortunate that the local SA stocks the ETB92 Nylon Long Scales. I think that was because the guitar dept. manager, and I used them.

I've often ordered strings through Walmart.com, since they take PayPal Credit, and you can order pretty much anything through them. Technically, they are a portal other businesses, since Walmart doesn't carry Rotosounds, but it's convenient to use, and you can often get things shipped to their stores, which are all over the friggin' place. Where else could you order a bass amp, a few cans of soup, and some pants on one site/shopping order? :P I'm using those products as an example, but you could.

I haven't checked out Walmart.com for anything for a while. I may look it up again.

I would've liked to have ordered an other Adam Clayton Jazz, but they are almost $300. more than the USA Geddy Lee Jazz is. But, I like the USA GL Jazz better.

I probably think you'd be happier with the Geddy Lee, anyway. At least, from what you've said in the past between the two basses. Are they even still making the Adam Clayton in the first place? I've seen him having a Warwick signature model these days.

Yeah,........ Fender still lists the AC Jazz. It's a great bass, but I do seriously Like the USA GL Jazz better, and the pups are more to my liking on the USA GL Jazz.

I think the fact the Geddy Lee has a maple fretboard probably factors in that decision, too, doesn't it?

Yes Paul, it doesn't hurt, that's for sure. I'm a real sucker for a bass with a Maple Fretboard on it. The PJ Precision has a Maple Fretboard on it too. Hmmm.

They do seem to have a different tone to them than the rosewood, that's for sure. It's not drastic (that I can tell, at least,) but there are some different nuances. Rosewood does seem to be darker sounding, if that would be a correct way of describing it.

Even If they do sound about the same, and it's just for looks, I'll go with a Maple.

I have to admit, I do like the way the maple pops out on certain finishes, especially on the 50's reissue Precision Basses. That's what drew me to the 50's reissue Precision Bass that I had, with the Olympic White finish and gold pickguard. You know, I still do kick myself every now and then for dumping that bass. Common story with a lot of musicians with that, I suppose.
