I'm just going to stay with the Black Moto, or the Black PG.

That's cool. Any idea when that could show up?

I ordered the Am. Pro. Fretless Jazz. It should be here Wed. of next week. Why the Fretless over the GL? For a fretted bass, I like the Standard, and couldn't see getting another Fretted bass somewhat similar to it. I do like Fretless Jazzes anyway.

Well, that does make more sense when you have that bass to begin with, albeit a different model.

The Fretless will be in Wed. I do think I made a good choice on going for the Fretless I have coming in. When I looked at the USA GL Jazzes, none of them stacked up to the one I perviously had. The Fretless looks about as good or better than the last Am. Std. Fretless, and the newer pups are supposedly better than the CS60's. The PG is coming off, and I guess a Black PG is going on. Or maybe the Black Moto. I'll have to see how they look. Can you guess what strings are going on it?

I'm thinking some banjo strings. Who says you have to use bass strings, anyway? :P

I guess you can use whatever strings you like, as long as they fit in the nut. But still the Mint Green PG is toast.

I have this USA geddy Lee Jazz coming in on Thursday. I'm selling the Am. Std. Jazz on Monday. I do like the USA GL Jazzes. Image

Did the neck of your P Bass remind of that, and reignite Geddy Lee GAS? :P

I had a player wanting the Am. Std., so that has been in the works for a couple of days. It did remind of the playability of the USA GL's, and this one looks like it's a better one. It does have a nice grain in the neck, and the strings are aligned better then the last batch I turned down. It also comes with a better Fender hardshell case.

I see what you mean. It's a great bass to begin with, I think.

I'm nowhere near a big time player, by any means, but I do know what I like. I'm quite serious about the USA GL Jazz being one of the better Fender Jazzes. My opinion anyway.

Yeah, I've noticed that you've often gravitated toward it. Did you ever play the Japanese-made versions that came out originally? I think that might have been at least 10 years ago, or at least over 5, I think.

No, I never had the chance to, but I hear the Crafted In Japan were something.
