I know what you mean, I have a few basses that are just sitting around right now collecting dust. Although, a couple of them do need to be fixed.

If they aren't in to bad of shape, you maybe should think about fixing them up. You're an active musician, and may need another bass.

I'd like to, actually. Fortunately, it's just shorts in the electronics for the most part, other than that buzz in the A string on the Peavey that I can't seem to fix.

To fix the buzz on the A string, you may need to put a new nut on it. I've seen A strings have more of a problem, for what ever reason than the E,D, and G strings.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. I wonder why that is?

Maybe it has to do with the location of the string on the instrument. Some sort of physics involved there, I'm sure.

I don't know, but I sure did the right thing by getting down to USA GL, and the Mustang. I may have said this before, but I do prefer the USA GL Jazz, over the Am. Std. Jazzes. I'm sitting good with that, and the Mustang PJ through the Fender amp setup.

Yeah, it's better to have one or two really good working/playing instruments then a room full of stuff that needs work, or whatever done to it to be played. I'll say the one bass I really got screwed with is the Peavey. The other ones were working properly, just got worn out from heavy use and environmental issues. The Peavey just wound up being a bad decision, which otherwise would have been a nice bass, other than that issue. Live and learn, I guess.

I haven't gone through bass-dom, without some knuckle head moves myself.

I think it's part of the experience of playing, it seems. :P

I think you have to get on line for this series of goofs.

I'll bet even the most famous musicians have done this at one point in their time or another.
