Have they all been reliced? I believe so.

Yes

At the beginning ( last year ) they were to be made in 10 units for the single pick up version and 20 units for the two pick ups version in each color (Black and Shoreline Gold but then also Dakota Red )
It was such an instant success that Fender has decided to expand the variety of colors, but with the same limitations.
Nevertheless I see that Musician's Friend was able to get a special order of 2 Cabronitas in each of the 15 colours for the 2010 NAMM at a special price.

So all in 12 of each colour for the single pick up version, including the 3 original colors which showed their production increased by 20 % compared to the original limitation commitment.

I would really like to pick up a single pickup La Cabronita (in any color) but only if they stop making them.

I doubt these will go away forever.

Also, another quick question. Have they all been reliced? I believe so.

Why ONLY if they stop making them???

I had two at one point...a 2 pup & a 1 pup....Cool guitars, I MUCH preferred the tone of the 1-pup. I REALLY wish I could've gotten one SANS relicing though. :(

Which color does everyone like best?

Nice...

Yeah, I tried to get a Masterbuilt one-off made (in the spirit of the La Cabronita) Just to MY desired specs.

Unfortunately that is one of the situations where the catch phrase "We'll build whatever you want" does NOT apply... :(

If I could not find a black one, any shade of red would be alright. Never owned a red guitar.... well other than a SG.
Nevin there's one of these in western Canada!(not this exact one, but the same.)

Hi, there's a black Cabronita for sale on the German ebay.

Link: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 734wt_1165

The back of the body has a weird blue colored area where it's worn off. I've compared to Alain's pictures and it does not show that blue color. Any idea what this is / is it ok ?

Mine was one of the 2009 limited series of ten Black one pick up Cabronitas.
No more to be built; although GC had a break in that.

Please don't tell me that because of the well deserved success of the Cabronita, we are going to see :
Black over Baby Blue
Black over Sonic Blue
Black over Daphne Blue
Black over Ice Blue
Black over Lake Placid Blue
Black over Sherwood Green
Black over Fiesta Red
Black over Sunburst
Black over Coral Pink
Black over Graffitti Yelow
Balck over Candy Apple Red
Black Over Candy Apple Green
Black over Olympic White
Black Over Dakota Red
Black over Sunset Orange
Black over Etc...
and 10 in each variation

it would be a REAL disappointment
My real sad opinion.

Merci Alain.

So in other words the guitar on ebay is not one of the 10 (or 12) black ones, but rather a variation? Or am I lost?

This guitar has been retired.
Musician's Friend has the last of them.
We will not make ANY next year.

Keith Urban just bought his third, and was on the CMT awards last night w/ Mayer playing his Shoreline Gold two pkp.

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing the photos.

I did not know there were that many colors available. I remember Mike posting a photo once of a pile of La Cabronita guitars.
