I just purchased the Stevie Snacks 5 Essential Blues Boxes DVD's. I am excited about these DVD's. I did some research and read some reviews and they sound great. He seems like a really good instructor.
Thanks for the recommendations everybody.

Yup, I got both the 5 Essential Blues Boxes and the 5 boxes Essentail Licks sets.

I did the download version and burned my own DVD'S , too impatient to wait for the mail to deliver anything. :)

Ya, like them, the lessons are good for practicing.

Yeh, Anthony (the creator of Stevie Snacks) seems like a really cool guy. I have asked him a tonne of questions already and he always responds promptly to all my e-mails. That's great customer service.
For the guys who have Stevie Snacks.............did his box patterns confuse you at all if you're used to the traditional pentatonic scales? Or did you find it really helpful and made the scales all make sense?
I know he doesn't teach scales and he doesn't look at the fretboard that way but that's what I have in my head the last few years and that's what I'm used to. I hope his box patterns clarifies things up for me and not confuse me. The preview lessons look really, really good and informative. I can't wait to get the DVD's and get started with his lesson series.

Thanks

I have seen a lot of his stuff on YOUTUBE - he is a great guitar player - If you see the short clips of his band playing at the beginning and end of his lessons, they got the SRV sound down - his tone is great!

I enjoy watching his lessons, and stealing a bit of stuff from them and adding it to what I already know - he knows his stuff though! He has a nice website as well - lots of good info on there - I just dont think id pay $150 for the lessons, when YOUTUBE is packed full of freebes! JMO though - im sure his sessions are put together well!
