I'm interested in the new T bucket 300ce and the kingman sce. Does anyone have experience with both that can tell me which one would be the better guitar? I would see for myself but i'm over 150 miles from anywhere that would carry them in stock that i can try before i buy.

My shop didn't have the Kingman SCE that I really wanted, but I played a Lake Placid Blue Sonoran Custom SCE against a T300 Bucket CE and bought the Sonoran! Not only cheaper (not by much) but had a better sound all around! Love that neck too! You definitely need to play them coz it could have just been a bad example of the TBucket for me! I still want to try a Kingman SCE sunburst, coz I think it's my next stage acoustic!

Thanks pontmercy for the info. I'll have to give the Sonoran a look.

Keep in mind that the T bucket is a laminated top and the Kingman SCE is a solid top. Big difference in quality.

The Kingman quality will be better according to the specs but which one will play better as in action action and playability?

I guess you have to try them both to see which one fits your style ;)

6twang: I also just bought a refurb kingman sce sunburst. the fishman pickup system with tuner is far superior to the sonoran I also own. the fit and finish is superb with the bound neck. the action straight from factory is excellent, but I was even able to sand a litte more off the bass side saddle to get lower with only very little, almost imperceptable rattle on A string 2nd fret. a little fret dress next time I restring should take care of that too! very impressed for as little as this thing cost how good it sounds plugged and unplugged. I may give this refurb to my girlfriend and buy a new one (after trying several out at the store first). Very impressed, I think you'd be very happy!

Well i might have to order one for my next buy because i went to several shops statewide and nobody has the Kingman in stock :( . I did however try a Fender 220ce but bought a very nice all wood Takamine eg334ce instead. It was originally priced a few hundred more than the fender but it was on clearance for the same price as the 220 and i couldn't resist. I still want a Kingman though just because they look so cool 8) and i'm sure it would compete very well with the takamine.
