I noticed some on line stores show the item as discontinued and thought I read that 2007 was the last year for the model. I know that the Knopfler is currently for sale at MF and other outlets. If the model is going to stop being produced in 2008, it will most likely push me into buying one now. I have put off the purchase for several years and did not want to be disapppointed if discontinued and the secondard market raises its value. Also I may make the purchase as I have read the price of Fenders will raise in Feb. 2008.

Hello Jellsn,

Those Mark Knopfler Strats don't
last long on the seconday market.
Very pleasing tone with the
electricery going on underneath
the pickguard.

So many Strats, so little cash on hand.

Cheers.

PS welcome to the Forum.
