Can anyone tell me, what is the string spacing of a five string Precision Bass? I couldn't find any information on the web.

I don't know the exact spacing at the bridge. Though I can tell you that it definitely feels wider than any of the previous American standard jazz basses (at that point there wasn't a P-bass to compare with).

I am familiar with the Fender Roscoe Beck Jazz V. It has bridge spacing that is very similar to that of a standard jazz 4 string. The new P-bass V feels just as comfortable as the 4 string. I would guess with the newly designed bridge, it is within in mm's (really close) of the 4 string counterpart.

For the specific mm, I would directly call or email Fender.

Hello,

thank you for your answer. I prefer 19mm string spacing, I had a four string bass that had 17 or 16mm and it was very uncomfortable for me. I try to write for Fender.
