Hi folks,

I've been working on this for a couple of months now, changed plans twice, until I finally completed my strat project yesterday.

I've been hot for a strat with block inlays for a long time. I didn't want the standard HSS or SSS pickup configuration.

So, here's the result: Fender body, Warmoth neck, Kluson vintage tuners, Wilkinson vintage tremolo (I like pop in arms), Tonerider Rebel 90 pickups (like P90s) and selfpainted pickguard (sharpie artwork).

Some of you might remember the pickguard, I had it mounted to a black strat before but I sold the guitar and it moved onto this white one.

Really nice & interesting guitar. Stands out from the crowd! Fantastic pickguard ! I like the writing besides the pots- is it 'Trouble' and 'oil' ? Sweet. Now -enjoy! Play the crap out of it

Thank you! :)

Yes, it says "Trouble" over the volume pot but the "Oil" is in fact just some fantasy symbols which look like "oil" from a little further away. But dang, "Oil" would've been a great idea!! :))))))

Here's a close-up of the pickguard, when it was still mounted to the black strat. I clear-coated it now:

Looks like a piece of art somehow, I like it.

I like your guitar a lot and that pick guard is over the top. Very nicely done.

Note to self.... get new white pick guard and some new sharpies.

That tuxedo maple neck with its black binding and blocks would look way better with a large headstock and black CBS-era decals. :P Beautiful huge-sounding beast, though.

I believe you've installed a push-pull pot to split the humbuckers.

Love the 70's style artwork...cool! Reminds me of some of the old Jimi or Doors posters — type artwork. The whole scheme of the guitar is tasteful. Nice job!

Loving the pick guard, the neck looks cool, not my cup of tea.
But the pick guard looks awesome.
Where did you find that one?
