I was kinda bored.
Since it was a second hand non-Fender pickguard, I didn't care.

Yes, the cream still doesn't match the white.
And yes, I should've polished it before taking pics! My bad!

Awesome artwork Smokin' Frets! If you are really that bored, maybe you should make more and sell them.

+1
I would totally buy a pickguard like that just to frame and hang on a wall.

Wow, so many positive comments, thank you so much, guys!! :D

It will be sealed with clear coat.
Until then I won't play it to prevent damage on the drawing. Just didn't feel like wanting to rip it apart yesterday evening, I drew it fully installed.

The guitar is an American Stratocaster from 1986, E4xxxx serial. One of the first with swimmingpool routing.
I removed the S/S/S pickguard and installed the third party pickguard with the two Tonrider Generator pickups.

So many people are saying that I should market artwork like that.
It wouldn't make sense to have it printed on selfadhesive foil, because there would be lookalikes floating around soon.
I'd rather like to think about taking orders, draw every one of them individually so that everyone of them would be unique.

But then again.......are there people who are willing to pay for something around 3 to 5 hours of work?????? I don't know.
This one took me approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and is not sealed with clear coat yet.

BTW, I made a little change in the graphics. It was too white and empty between the humbuckers, so I added a checkerboard. Maybe I'll do some minor additional changes, dunno yet: EDIT no, I won't, this is just fine as it is ;)

I think it's fantastic. A pair of dice for control knobs might add some extra character.

On second thought, it's perfect as is. :)
