Happy New Year everyone.
What is the allen wrench size for the truss rod and string action adjustments on an American neck and vintage tremolo/bridge, respectively? Thanks for helping and cheers to all.

Hi Fatoldsun,

Phillips screwdriver for truss adjust at body end of neck for Vintage RI types, 1/8 inch Allen wrench for truss rod adjust at headstock, .050 inch Allen wrench for the saddle height screws. :)

Once again shimmilou, I appreciate your response and can feel the newbie-to-amateur transition taking place. Thank you.

I use a small flat head jewelers screwdriver for the saddle screws. Out of 14 strats, nearly all of mine quickly wore out the allen wrench to where it could slip easily. Never had the problem again with the screw driver! As your bridge ages and gets dirty / rusty, you will likely one day find that the allen key will not work, and if it slips once, that's it! Seriously, try the screwdriver!

For vintage trust rod I use flat screwdriver IMO is easy to use than philips one.
Good US made allen key are a must , The one with guitar are cheap one, it can damage the saddle hole. And the use of improper tool , screwdriver for allen it could work but is not a good way to work
