How many of you already ordered the New V2 Mustang? I am just wondering, I was able to return the MIII V1 and already preordered from GC. I really cannot wait!

Luckily, I was able to send my Mustang III V1 back also.I just bought it two weeks ago.Now I'm on the waiting list at Sweetwater for a V2.I couldnt see paying full price for the outdated one, when the news ones are coming out in a couple of weeks.I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm really tempted to jump on the Mustang bandwagon.

I owned a PV Vypyr 75 for a few years and was pretty happy with it. I recently sold it to help pay for a Blackstat HT40 that I am not overly pleased with. Just something about the voicing that I don't care for.

I've only played a Mustang in GC for a few minutes and thought it was OK but nothing special. Seeing as how there are so many loyal Mustang fans I'm sure it must be a great amp but probably takes more than a few minutes of tinkering to get a good sound from it.

So I'm leaning towards either the III or the IV once the V2s come out. Maybe having the amp at home where I can spend more time with it and using my own guitars will give me a better idea of what this amp can do.

You just cannot play a mustang at G.C. and think it only sounds OK when you do not know all the in's and out's of the mustang amp, this is also true for any other modeling amp that has in depth editing, you really have to spend time with fuse software to get the best tones out of any mustang amp that you may buy.

Best thing I found out from GC. I preordered the amp, and when they have new promotions, You call them and they take off more $$. Superbowl promotion saved $42 off the MIII V2 and the 3 year GC ext plan. Still Have A few holidaze to get more $$ Off I hope. Bad thing is that I have to wait for this amp to ship. But for anyone who has not had the Mustang, If you are close to a computer and like to tinker, the Mustangs can't be beat! If it wasn't for the Fizz, I would still have mine. But the sounds are really good from the Mustangs. Wish they would come in sooner!

I'm really looking forward to the Hi-Watt model. I'm planing on building all kinds of Gilmour type tones. The demos of it on YouTube sounded pretty good. I think the patch is called 'pigs with wings'or something like that.
