Hey, I'm taking on a project this summer of turning my garbage strat into a SRV Lenny replica, just for the fun of it, and I've been trying to find peg hardware that matches but I don't know what the tuning pegs are called so I don't know what to search for:

That's a picture of his guitar. The tuning pegs you can see are kind of like a cylinder with a slit cut out of the center section.

Any help on this one?

Thanks a bunch!

Nick

.......generically described as 'vintage' tuners.

Beautiful, I found exactly what I was looking for (I think)

Can somebody confirm that these are the same thing (or at least close to it)?

You'll likely want Kluson Traditional-Individual-6 in line-oval metal button-safety post-double line- nickel tuners for 'Lenny' which is period correct for a '65 Strat. Double line refers to the two lines imprint of 'Kluson' on the back of the tuner case. Now it may be that Fender continued to use its supply of single line tuners on its early '65's until consumed. A YouTube video of Eddie Vegas doing a once over on this guitar offers a tight shot of the tuner cases which have lost their high shine and appear to lack any imprinting at all. In that case you might want the generic type offered by Allparts and take the finish off them. It's your call dude.

Welcome to the Forums and keep us updated on your project.
